Denisse Guerrero-Harvey, M.Ed.
Denisse Guerrero-Harvey (she/her) is the Senior Manager of Educational Programs in the Bioethics & Humanities Department. Denisse comes from an immigrant family and is the first person in her family to go to college. She did her undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies with a Minor in Art History at the University of California Santa Barbara, graduating in 2003. Then, she returned to her alma mater to earn a secondary education teaching credential and Master's in Education in 2006. For eight years, Denisse worked as a high school social science teacher and was involved with the AVID program, helping first-generation students get into college. Denisse had a career change in 2015 and has been in higher education ever since. She has worked at UW for 7 years, mainly in an advising capacity and managing undergraduate academic programs. She is originally from the Bay Area and has fallen in love with Seattle. Denisse enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family-going on hikes, listening to live music, and cheering on the Mariners!
