Laura Webster, D.Bioethics, RN, HEC-C

Dr. Laura Webster works as the Bioethics Program Director at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.  Laura earned a Master's in Bioethics and Humanities with emphasis in clinical ethics from the University of Washington in 2012 and completed a Doctorate in Bioethics specializing in organizational ethics from Loyola University Chicago in 2017.  Laura serves as an Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Bioethics and Humanities, an active member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, member of the Clinical Ethics Consultation Affairs Committee, a member of the WA State Disaster Clinical Advisory Committee, a Subject Matter Expert for WA State, and carries special interests in: places of moral hazard, respect for persons, psychological safety, end of life, emergency, nursing and neuro ethics.  Laura became one of the first Healthcare Ethics Consultants to gain Certification in the United States and engages in community efforts to provide bioethics education to local, national, and international audiences.
