The World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

The Population Health Forum
The Population Health Forum is an organization of health activists that hosts forums, sponsors discussions and workshops, develops curriculum, teaches courses, and provides speakers to educate and encourage community involvement in issues related to health. The organization’s mission is to raise awareness and initiate dialogue about the ways in which political, economic, and social inequalities interact to affect the overall health status of our society.
