Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Primate Research Center at Bogor Agricultural Univ. (PSSP-IBP), INDONESIA
			The Primate Research Center (PSSP) at Bogor Agricultural University 
			(IPB) in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia celebrated the 25th anniversary 
			of its founding with a one-day international seminar (held on 31 
			August 2015) entitled: “Nonhuman Primates in Biology, Conservation 
			and Biomedical Research.” More than 150 individuals including 
			students, scientists and government officials from Indonesia and 
			several countries attended the event. The program opened with a 
			welcome address by Dr. Joko Pamungkas, Director of PSSP-IPB, remarks 
			from the Rector of IPB, and a speech by the Director General of 
			Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystem, Ministry of 
			Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia. Plenary talks were 
			given by Prof. Dondin Sajuthi (founding Director of PSSP-IPB): 
			“Overview of the Use of Indonesian Nonhuman Primates for Biomedical 
			Research in Indonesia,” and Prof. Randall Kyes (Research Prof, 
			Director of Center for Global Field Study, Core Scientist at the 
			WaNPRC, UW): “Celebrating 25 Years Of Field Training On Tinjil 
			Island, Indonesia: A Model of International Collaboration.” Dr. 
			Entang Iskandar, Chair of the international seminar organizing 
			committee, and the committee members hosted a remarkable event.
			
			The UW and the Washington National Primate Research Center has had a 
			long-standing collaboration with IPB and PSSP going back more than
