Andrew Stone is a Ph.D. candidate in History at the University of Washington, focusing on Russian and Soviet history.  His interests include cultural and social changes in the Soviet period, revolutionary culture, conformity and challenges to the Soviet project to remake society, and the Khrushchev years. His current research is focused on Soviet orphans from the collectivization famines.
