The Computational Finance and Risk Management (CFRM) team of the Department of Applied Mathematics is pleased to announce a new Financial Data Analytics Certificate, with enrollment starting Autumn Quarter 2019.
“The certificate is an ideal credential for a working professional to bridge the gap between finance and technology. Offered both on-campus and online, it allows someone working full-time to advance their educational goals by attending class part-time,” said Professor Tim Leung, Director of the CFRM program. Students in the Financial Data Analytics Certificate program will complete one class per quarter, earning the certificate credential in nine months.
The Financial Data Analytics Certificate is comprised of three courses that provide data science tools along with related financial applications:
|Autumn||CFRM 506: Financial Data Access & Analysis with SQL, VBA, and Excel||4|
|Winter||CFRM 502: Financial Data Science||4|
|Spring||CFRM 521: Machine Learning for Finance||4|
Course descriptions are available here.
The Financial Data Analytics Certificate joins the undergraduate-level Quantitative Fundamentals Certificate and Computational Finance Minor, and graduate-level Computational Finance Certificate and Computational Finance and Risk Management Master of Science (MS) Degree as educational options in finance offered in the Department of Applied Mathematics.
Admissions for enrollment in the autumn 2019 certificate will begin in spring 2019. For more information, contact the CFRM admissions team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
