I am a postbac in the de la Iglesia lab interested in the interaction between sleep and epilepsy. I am specifically working with mouse models of Dravet Syndrome, an epileptic disorder caused by a single gene mutation. The aim of my project is to understand the bidirectional interaction between sleep and epileptic activity with the goal of improving sleep quality in Dravet Syndrome patients.
I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2021 with a B.S. in Neuroscience. I also plan on attending medical school in the future.
