I am a postdoc interested in the study of sleep and circadian impairments in a mouse model of Dravet Syndrome (DS), an infantile onset epilepsy caused by a single mutation in a gene encoding a sodium channel. Patients with DS display sleep, circadian and cognitive impairments. The aim of my current project is to deepen our understanding of the comorbidities associated with this type of epilepsy and the relationship between them in order to develop new treatments that improve circadian hygiene and sleep quality in DS patients.

I graduated from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Argentina in 2010 with a M.Sc. in Biotechnology and received my Ph.D. in Applied and Basic Sciences from the same University in 2016.
