Applications of green screens vary considerably, and technologies and new products are rapidly producing more cost-effective alternatives. While there are no specific cost/benefit standards, the following variables must be considered in budgeting for green screens: project size; design team costs; system type; support structure requirements; building location; complexity of design, use of standard or custom components; site conditions and access; cost of installation labor; local availability of materials; project timeline; species of vegetation; and short and long-term maintenance.
