Green Screens

Definition

Green screens are a subcategory of vegetated wall surfaces such as a ‘green wall’ or ‘vertical garden’.  Green screens are a system of climbing plants or other vegetation that attach to a specifically designed supporting structure of anchored wires. These supporting structures typically act as an open-air trellis that can be affixed to a building wall or built as a freestanding structure. The roots of the covering vegetation can begin at the base of the structures, in the ground, or in planters on the roof, and fill in over time.
