Installation Instructions for the FAS Facial Photographic Analysis Software
The most current version of the software is:
FAS Facial Photographic Analysis Software v 2.1.0 (2016).
This is the only version currently distributed.
The software is a Microsoft WINDOWS application.
- It requires an English language version of the Windows operating system.
- It is confirmed to work in Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.
- It requires the computer's Regional Date Setting be set to English (United States).
- The software imports the following digital image formats (.jpg, .tif, .bmp).
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The recent Windows 11 version 24H2 update renders many software programs inoperable (including our Facial software). To address this issue, a fully updated version (Version 3.0) of the FAS Facial Software is currently under development for distribution in Jan-Feb 2026. It will have the same features and function as Version 2.1, but will be updated using more current programming language to ensure compatibility with future Windows operating systems. In the meantime, Version 2.1 works with Windows 11 version 24H2 26100.4946 and earlier.
