Recommendations

We strongly recommend that students who have no chemistry background or who have not taken chemistry for a long time take Chem 110 before enrolling in the general chemistry series(Chem 142, 152 and 162)

We also recommend that students in the organic chemistry series take their organic labs at a later quarter. Specifically, Chem 241, while it can be taken concurrently with Chem 238, we suggest that Chem 241 should be taken AFTER Chem 238, perhaps concurrently with Chem 239.
