Dr. Duenas is a Neurologist specializing in Cerebrovascular Diseases. He will take courses at UW and will meet with colleagues in fields of epidemiology, implementation science and stroke to receive instructions on study to develop research projects in stroke.

Rosa Lizbeth Ecos Quispe

Dr. Liz Ecos

Dr. Liz Ecos is a neurologist and member of the Peruvian Neurology Society and Grupo Stroke Peru. She has worked in the Department of Neurovascular Disease at the National Institute for Neurological Sciences (INCN) in Lima, Peru since 2013. Her goal in working towards a master's degree at UPCH funded by the ICTuS grant is to reinforce and complement her training in cerebrovascular disease research.

Carlos Abanto Argomedo

Dr. Carlos Abanto

Carlos Abanto is a neurologist and member of the Peruvian Neurology Society. He was President of Grupo Stroke Peru for two periods. He is Chief of the Center for Cerebrovascular Disease Research at the National Institute for Neurological Sciences and Secretary of the Iberoamerican Cerebrovascular Diseases Society. He is currently working on his MPH in Global Health at the University of Washington in order to develop and strengthen his abilities in cerebrovascular diseases research.

Danny Moisés Barrientos Imán

Dr. Danny Barrientos

Danny Barrientos is a neurologist, member of the Peruvian Neurology Society, and has been working as an assistant in the Department of Neurovascular Disease at the National Institute for Neurological Sciences (INCN) in Lima, Peru since 2012. He is also a member of the Center for Cerebrovascular Disease Research at the INCN. He finished medium-term training at the UW through the ICTuS grant in 2014 and is currently working on a research project in Peru using transcranial Doppler to diagnose neurocysticercosis.
