The Mycoplasma LightCycler assay utilizes genus-specific primers and species-specific probes for the identification of Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma from culture, to provide a powerful tool for the rapid diagnosis of these organisms. Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Mycoplasma salivarium, Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum are identified with this assay.
