VIDA Trip Summer ’12 Application

Hello, Pre-health Students!

Are you seeking a unique eye-opening, hands-on, and mind enriching experience in medicine, dentistry, veterinary care?

Want to experience Central American culture?

Volunteers for Intercultural and Definitive Adventure (VIDA) is a non-profit humanitarian volunteer program that offers experiences to students and professionals of medical, dental, veterinary, and other fields. VIDA was created to be a resource for volunteers can depend on to support their cause of helping fellow human beings and animals. As a nonprofit organization, VIDA aims to bring people together through service learning to make this world a better place. VIDA stress cultural integration and opening of the mind and heart to global healthcare and human issues. One of our long term goals is to have an impact on the future health professionals of the world while providing basic medical services to Central America.

This year, UW VIDA is going to Costa Rica on Aug. 25th to Sept. 6th

We have three core programs: General Medicine, Dental Health, and Veterinary Medicine. We set up mobile clinics in rural communities and move around the country to provide free basic medical services.

The 2012 VIDA application is now available on catalyst.
