UW Lung Health is recruiting officers! UW Lung Health Officer Recruitment

UW Lung Health works with the American Lung Association to promote various fundraising events. Our events help American Lung Association to fund research, education, and advocacy programs that improve the air we breathe and to reduce the burden of lung disease on patients and families.

Some of the fundraising events we may be promoting include Fight for Air Stair Climb, Lung Force Expo, or Lung Force Walk. As an executive officer of UW Lung Health, depending on your interests and schedule, you can also assist Smoking Cessation Class in Seattle area working with ALA-trained specialist, facilitate tobacco free campaign, and research on making UW Lung Health the first campus chapter of American Lung Association at UW!

As an Executive of UW Lung Health, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the American Lung Association in Seattle to:

  • gain unique experience in event planning, marketing
  • work with the American Lung Association staff to pitch marketing ideas to experts in the field
  • earn Leadership Awards
  • earn professional letter of recommendation by staff and CEO of American Lung Association for excellent involvement
  • networkwith experts in the non-profit health organizations
  • obtain internshipopportunity

Our Executives have the duties including:

  • Volunteer in the American Lung Association office at least once a month to facilitate with event planning (This is a good way to meet staff and will help with getting a reference letter in the future)
  • Attend weekly or biweekly meeting
  • Reach a minimum of $150 personal fundraising goal for the Fight for Air Stair Climb (We have a nice and easy website to make this happen.)
