Veterinary Technician – Cat Care Coordinator (Shoreline)

Seeking: Cat Care Coordinator
This position is responsible for all daily and medical care of SAFe Rescue cats and kittens. This includes coordination with foster homes, vaccines, blood draws and testing, required medications, spay – neuter prep and post-op care. Responsible for accurate record keeping; ensuring all animals are current on vaccines and required medications; maintaining supplies; coordinating and training daily kennel care volunteers; maintaining a clean and sanitary work space; and communicating with others to ensure appropriate cat care in compliance with established policies and procedures. This position will have contact with the public. We are a small rescue and each position is cross trained.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Must be 18 years of age
Minimum 2 years of work experience in Veterinary medicine
Animal Shelter or kenneling experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills in Windows and office environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Shows initiative and is a mindful and collaborative worker.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
Certified Veterinary Tech course completion is desirable.
Two years prior experience in an animal welfare environment is desirable.
This is a part-time position and the hours will vary. The schedule includes working evenings and weekends. Compensation is based on experience for the right candidate.
