The UW Chapter of Operation Smile is currently accepting OFFICER APPLICATIONS for the year 2016-2017!
They are a club on campus that are devoted to raising awareness of children born with cleft lip/palate, but are unable to obtain surgical access in third world countries.
The surgery necessary for this facial deformity is simple, and that is what Operation Smile aims to do.
The organization raises funds for these free surgeries for the children in developing countries. They do one big event every quarter, and at every meeting there is a big discussion between members about what event to put on that quarter!
Currently they have meetings on THURSDAYS at 5:30pm at Smith 313!
