The mission of the Institute of Translational Health Sciences is to speed science to clinical practice through fostering innovative research, cultivating multi-disciplinary research partnerships, and ensuring a pipeline of next generation researchers through robust educational and career development programs.
This year, they are expanding their outreach to undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in health science (this could include basic science, medicine, public health, or medical device development to name a few).
On May 13, they will host their annual ITHS Translational Science Expo at the HUB. The Expo typically attracts over 100 investigators, students, and post-docs, in health research from all disciplines at the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s, Fred Hutch, and the WWAMI region This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to hear poster presentations, network with other researchers, and learn about a career in translational science.
