Reil, Katie

My name is Katie Reil, and I am a junior planning on the Biology major. My second love has always been astronomy, which was encourage by Dr. Chris Laws, who encouraged me to join the program. I’m from Tacoma, Washington and I attended Stadium High school before coming to UW. I love to travel and read, and I do photography in my few moments of spare time. On campus, I am very involved in the service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. I am currently the fundraising chair, which keeps me very busy. I love science because I have the drive to explore the unexplored, to find new solutions and benefit our species as a whole.
