My name is Travis, and I discovered a passion for physics and astronomy during my pursuit of a finance degree at Western Washington University. Unfortunately, the cost of essentially starting a new degree prohibited a switch of majors. The plan then became, finish the finance degree, get a job, go to night school, and transfer to the UW. As improbable as the plan was, I have made it to UW I’m really excited to explore the research opportunities that are available on campus. I want to pursue research related to spectral analysis and decomposition. The perfect result of this imperfect journey would be getting into a astrophysics graduate program after finishing at the UW.
