Colton Peterson
Hello, my name is Colton Peterson. This year is my Junior year at UW. I am currently pursuing a double major in comprehensive physics and astronomy. Ultimately, I would like to receive my Ph.D. and conduct research in astrophysics. I have always been fascinated and confused by the complexity of the cosmos. I would stare up at the stars thinking about the complexity of physical laws are needed for such a place to exist. Later in life, reading works from Carl Sagan inspired me to go back to school and follow my passion for physics and astronomy. One day, I desire to conduct meaningful research that will allow both myself and others to better understand the vast expanses of the universe. I think it would be particularly interesting to study the evolution of massive stars or the beginning of our universe. Outside of my studies, I enjoy hiking, skateboarding, disc golfing, and watching documentaries.
