Hedrick, Kate

I’m a freshman from the tiny town of Silverdale, Washington. I’ve always loved math and science, and when I graduated from Central Kitsap High School, I couldn’t wait to finally come to UW and study physics. It has been my dream for years to eventually work for NASA, and right now I’m planning to double major in physics and astronomy. In my spare time, which isn’t much since I’ve been here, I like writing, drawing, singing, video games, and playing piano and guitar. I’m really looking forward to doing research this quarter and am already enjoying learning more about astronomy and programming 🙂
