Hello! My name is Rebecca de Frates. I’m a native Washingtonian from Bothell (about 30 minutes north of Seattle). I’m planning on majoring in molecular biology and eventually get my PhD in genetics. Even though I am not majoring in astronomy or physics, Pre-MAP seemed like a great chance to get involved with undergraduate research and looked really interesting. I love to cook, hang out with friends, and listen to music (especially Carolina Liar). I’m also planning on joining the Swing Dancing Club.
