Velasquez, Jesse

Hey, my name is Jesse Velasquez from Bellingham, WA. I have been interested in all things science from the get go, but astronomy seems to top them all. I became interested in Pre-MAP because, for one, I plan on majoring in astronomy, but also because it sounded like an unrivaled opportunity to actually partake in research. In 2010 I won the UW NASA Space Grant and plan to take advantage of every opportunity provided to pursue a career in astrophysics. My hobbies are generally unproductive, like playing Call of Duty excessively, but I really look forward to researching later in the year.
