CNE: CNE CONTACT HOURS: The University of Washington School of Nursing co-provides many courses with the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center. For courses co-provided by the School of Nursing, contact hours will be awarded. To confirm that contact hours are available for a specific course, please contact the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center.
The University of Washington School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
CEU: The Washington State Public Health Laboratory Training Program is accredited by
the International Association of Continuing Education and Training to sponsor continuing education for allied
health professionals. Certificates for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are issued for each sponsored venipuncture
and laboratory course conducted in Washington. For each contact hour in the classroom, 0.1 CEU is issued. There
are no fees for CEUs. In addition, the Washington State Public Health Laboratory Training Program is an Approved
Continuing Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science for the state of California.
