Bio

Dan Bahaghighat ‘Baha’ is a US Army Lieutenant Colonel with 16 years of military experience.  Dan graduated from Carson-Newman University with a B.A. in Chemistry in 2000, and earned his M.S. in Chemistry from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2008.  Dan has held various positions during his military career including Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the United States Military Academy, Guest Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and one tour of duty in Iraq.  His current research has focused on three-dimensional gas chromatography and parallel gas chromatography.  Dan in his time off he enjoys fishing, skiing, boating and riding ATVs with his family.  Dan obtained his doctorate from UW in May 2018.
