Chris Jonsson has been working in the field of HIV clinical trials for over 20 years at the UW AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (UW ACTU). As the Program Operations Manager for both the UW TLC-ART and UW ACTU programs, she combines her experience of data management, study coordination, clinic management, grants and fiscal management. In the past she has served as the Data Manager for the UW International Maternal, Pediatric, and Adolescent Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) Unit, and was a consultant for regulatory, data, and site establishment issues to the Research and Education Group, Portland, OR, for their work as an AIDS Clinical Trials Group site. Currently she serves as an elected representative to the National AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) on the Data Management and Site Operations sub-committees. Chris has significant experience working with sub-award funding models from Social and Scientific Systems (SSS) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) as well as maintaining and reconciling all budget and grant activity, invoicing sponsors and creating and maintaining sub-awards. Her Healthcare Executive MBA from Seattle University has provided her with fiscal management and health leadership skills that supplement the expertise she has developed in her work at the UW. She provides operational leadership in strategic development, regulatory, and financial areas to the TLC-ART program.
