The mission of the ICRC is to improve global health through finding effective solutions for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV, tuberculosis, sexually-transmitted infections and other infectious diseases, and bridging the “know-to do gap” through implementation science. We do this through excellence in scientific leadership, international research operations, biostatistical data management and analysis, and an extensive repository of biologic samples in support of clinical research. In support of this mission, the ICRC conducts observational studies and clinical studies, implementation science projects, and translational science research.
The International Clinical Research Center (ICRC) was established in 2007 to provide essential framework, coordination, implementation, and analysis of multi-center international clinical research with a focus on infectious disease prevention trials. The ICRC is part of the University of Washington in the Department of Global Health.
