FINAL EXAM - TEACHING & PERFORMANCE 1. Teaching Jury As the first portion of the final assessment in this course, you will be teaching a lesson based on one of the items listed below. Lessons will be 6 minutes in length. Lessons will be taught in the order in which they appear below. The teachers will be selected at random at the final, so prepare to teach any of the 10 lessons. To make final preparations, each teacher will be excused from the final during the lesson preceding his/her own. As with the practica throughout the term, teaching will be evaluated according to the following guidelines:

Class members are free to choose the performance order. Solos must comprise a song (not an exercise) from your method book. Your selection should adequately represent your best playing along the lines of your SmartMusic solos, though you may not perform the same pieces. Selections included among the teaching jury repertoire (above) are eligible. You are welcome and encouraged to work with your teaching partner in preparation for this performance. |
