11/14 – Dr. Michael Fanselow. Dr. Fanselow will be presenting “A Neurobiological Perspective on Anxiety, Fear and Panic as Adaptive and Maladaptive Behavior.”

11/18 – Neuroscience Seminar Series talk by Dr. Susan Ferguson. Dr. Ferguson will present “From patterns to pathways: How modeling substance use informs our understanding of addiction behavior and circuits.”

11/19 – Pharmacology Seminar Series Talk by Dr. Nikoleta Tsvetanova, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University. Talk title: “GPCR Signaling: A Spatial Story.”

11/20 –  Dr. Stephen Maren, Director of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology and Professor of Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Maren will discuss “Hippocampal engrams and emotional memory.” Hosted by Jeansok Kim. The event will conclude with a Q&A session followed by a reception.~

12/3 – Pharmacology Seminar Series talk by Dr. Zoe McElligott, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Pharmacology, UNC School of Medicine. Dr. McElligott will present “Hindbrain and Amygdalar Circuitry in Models of Substance Use Disorder.”

12/6  – NAPE Seminar by Maja Johnson, Research Scientist in the Geng Lab.

12/6 NEURO 510: Be Boundless Seminar, highlighting postdoc and research scientist work. Speakers include Dr. Carlee Toddes, NAPE Postdoc in the Golden Lab, and Dr. Noah Benson. Each will present a 30-minute talk on their research.
