First Gen Panel

The First Generation Student Panel is intentionally designed to welcome first-generation college students to campus! Join us for banh mi sandwiches and hear from a panel of first-gen peers sharing their experiences and advice to incoming first-gen students. Dawg Daze and ECC host this event to create an opportunity for networking and building community before school starts.
Kelly ECC Open House

The ECC open house is an annual event where the ECC welcomes students back to campus through informing students about the various programs and resources available to them that the ECC provides. Students will also have the opportunity to explore our spaces to learn more about how they can best utilize these spaces during the academic year.
LSAMP Open House

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) supports underrepresented students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Join us in Mary Gates Hall 311 to tour our student resource center, meet the staff, and join us for some snacks. Our center offers a quiet place to hang out, study, free (limited) printing, school supplies, and camaraderie.
N8V Welcome Day

Welcome N8V Day is an event to greet and engage students at the start of the academic year. Students can connect with various student success support groups and learn about available resources. This kickoff event introduces wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ Intellectual House as a place where students can discover, thrive, and find safety and community. Enjoy snacks and fun activities while you settle in for the upcoming school year!
HSCMSP Open House

The Health Sciences Minority Student Program (HSCMSP) welcomes underrepresented and marginalized students interested in health science, medical and/or behavioral graduate or professional opportunities at every stage of their university career. Come join us in our HSCMSP Student Lounge at T-341B in the Magnuson Health Sciences Center Building for snacks and to meet others pursuing health and sciences. Join our HSCMSP Community to learn more about research opportunities, mentorship and learning strategies to help you succeed in your UW journey.
Instructional Center Open House

The Instructional Center is OMA&D’s space for academic support for underrepresented minority, first generation and economically disadvantaged students at the UW. During our open house days, we encourage you to drop by, have a snack, and learn about the rich resources that are available to the students who are eligible for our services.
ECC Block Party
ECC Welcome Daze Block Party | 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Thursday, September 26, 2024
The OMA&D kicks off the year of community engagement with a day of fun and energy. We will be partnering up with student organizations, on-campus resources, and community partners in celebrating the beginning of another year with a student-focused social. Highlights of the mixer will include giveaways, caricature artist, henna artist, a photobooth and much more. We look forward to seeing you at the Kelly ECC!
