Bias in peer review, fall 2015 discussion with Dr. Carole Lee

We had a interesting fall discussion with insightful UW Philosopher of Science Dr. Carole Lee in fall 2015 about bias in peer review. We discussed how commensuration, the distillation of many qualities into a single metric, can make room for hidden biases about race or gender and can discourage innovation.
