Western Washington University Viking Union Gallery – Call for work

Western Washington University’s Viking Union gallery is accepting applications for an upcoming show, ‘New Terrain.’
Every year, the gallery hosts an exhibition of students from the Northwest with a jury of Western’s Art and Art History Department faculty. This year we are calling it New Terrain because the purpose of the show is to give emerging, young artists the platform to show their work. The theme for New Terrain will pertain to displacement and subjects surround diaspora, however a student chooses to portray what will be accepted into the show.
  • There are ten spots total open for the exhibition
  • Every participant will receive compensation for their work
  • Their work will be printed and written about in the brochure.

A student may submit their work by simply emailing as.gallery@wwu.edu with an artist statement, a summary of the work, and photos and/or plans of the work they wish to submit into the show. Applications are due Dec. 22nd of 2017.
