Lavender Rights Project: Call for Work

The Lavender Rights Project (LRP) advances a more just and equitable society by providing low-cost civil legal services and community programming centered in values of social justice for trans and queer low-income people and other marginalized communities.
We’re currently preparing for our first major fundraising event, an Art Auction Fundraiser held on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm. The event will offer a silent auction of art from local queer and trans artists, food and beer/wine bar (though the event is not 21+), live entertainment, and more!

Profits from the fundraiser will benefit the Lavender Rights Project, helping to provide direct legal services to low-income trans and queer folks and people who face a variety of legal barriers.

I wanted to let folks at the School of Art + Art History + Design know that we’re still accepting art submissions for the auction. Our submission form can be found at www.lavenderrightsproject.org/art, where you can also find our guidelines. Artists have an option for 50% commission from the proceeds, or 100% donation to our organization.
