Koplin Del Rio Gallery is currently accepting applications for a winter/spring gallery intern. The right candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, interest and /or background in the arts, a sense of humor, and a positive, highly professional demeanor. A commitment of two days/week are required for this role (Friday and Saturday) with availability to begin in January 2019. Interns must be able to commit for three months or longer and internships can be done for academic credit.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill reception duties as needed, both in gallery, online and via phone
- Manage on-site gallery inventory, archives and records
- Support, as needed, all gallery administration and operations
- Manage client relationships and communications as needed
- Assist in editing, publishing and promoting communications content
- Support exhibition installations, prepare materials for client viewings
- As needed, assist director with scheduling, appointments, preparations for travel and client outreach
Qualifications
- Ability to commit to three months, at a minimum of two full days per week in the gallery (Friday and Saturday), with
hours 11AM-5:30PM
- Interns should be currently enrolled at the junior or senior undergraduate level or recently graduated from an
undergraduate or graduate program.
- Gallery, museum or institutional experience a plus, but not required
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and design software a plus
- Experience with google suite required
