Role Description
We are looking for a full-time writer/editor to join our team. This position will be flexible; hours can vary as needed and work can be done remotely in Washington state. However, employees must be available during normal business hours (PST) for monthly company meetings, when training for new projects, or when otherwise requested by their managers (with notice given). Pay DOE $22-25/hr.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support content managers and product managers to execute content initiatives
- Write clear, original copy about various education topics
- Conduct competitive research to inform your tone and voice
- Help to ensure all content is consistent in terms of style and optimized for search and user experience
- Edit and optimize existing content as well as writing from other writers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills, with a mastery of grammar and tone
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks
- Technically proficient with experience in Microsoft Office
- SEO experience a plus
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of professional experience in writing or online content creation/management
- A good home office set-up and access to reliable internet (or co-working space or other adequate set-up for remote work)
