Director of Legislative Affairs – closes May 9th
The Director of Legislative Affairs is the ASUW’s main lobbyist in Olympia. They serve as the Chair of the Legislative Steering Committee, research legislative issues of student interest, and communicate their work to the ASUW Board of Directors. They spend the Winter Quarter in Olympia to advocate for policies relevant to the annual ASUW Legislative Agenda. Interested? Email asuwogr@uw.edu with any questions.
Assistant Director – closes May 16th
The Assistant Director oversees the Office of Government Relations staff, strategic planning, and budget; serves as the Vice Chair of the Legislative Steering Committee; and coordinates research on legislative issues of interest to students. Interested? Email asuwogra@uw.edu with any questions.
Community Organizer – closes May 16th
The Organizing Coordinator is in charge of the ASUW’s voter registration and Get Out the Vote Efforts. They build coalitions for the work of OGR by connecting to both on-campus and off-campus entities, like working with RSOs, local activism organizations, and other student groups.
