The UW Q Center is happy to host the first-ever Q Job Fair! Join us on Thursday, May 26th, from 2:30 – 3:30 PM PST to learn all about working with the Q Center and the many roles that we are looking to fill for the 2022 | 2023 Academic Year.
The Q Center is a rigorous, collaborative work environment. We provide an affirming space for marginalized students to learn, grow, and build experience as professionals in higher education. We hire students across experience levels, and encourage all students motivated to work with us to apply. We are looking for employees who enjoy working on a team, who have time management skills and strong follow through, and who are able to work independently to complete job duties. We offer ample, consistent supervision and mentorship for all employees, and require all employees to be accountable to colleagues and supervisors. This includes but is not limited to:
- Completing work tasks as agreed with supervisor
- Showing up for all work shifts on time
- Answering Slack and email communications while on the clock
- Providing 1 week notice for any requested schedule changes
- Attending staff meetings as agreed with supervisor
- Track working hours, complete task sheets, and submit timesheets on time
We are not able to provide continued employment to student employees who are not able to meet these requirements.
