The call for entries for the 2022 Betty Bowen Award is now open. The Seattle Art Museum administers the annual award to honor a Northwest artist for their original, exceptional, and compelling work.
The juried award was established to celebrate the life of Betty Bowen (1918-1977) who was an enthusiastic supporter of Northwest contemporary art. The winner receives an unrestricted cash prize of $15,000 to further their career. A selection of work by the winner will be exhibited at the museum in the spring of 2023.
This regional award is open to artists working in Washington, Oregon and, Idaho.
How to apply:
Applications must be submitted online, by August 1 at 11 pm. The application is available on callforentry.org, and there is a $10 application fee.
