UW Statistics Seeking Student Photographer for Graduation

Description:
The Department of Statistics is seeking a UW student photographer who will be able to take high-quality and high-resolution photographs of the department graduation that will be happening on Friday, June 9, 2023 between 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at a UW campus location in Seattle, WA.
The salary range for this position is $25 – $50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
We expect the photographer to work during the department ceremony and outside of the event to edit photos and change the format of the files.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of photography techniques. Can exhibit a good balance of creativity and technical expertise.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, walk, stand, and sit for long periods.
  • Proficient with photo production equipment and photo editing software (i.e. photoshop or other tool that is equivalent).
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Must have their own photo production equipment (i.e. digital SLR camera would be desired but not required) and photo editing software (i.e. photoshop or other tool that is equivalent).
