THE POSITION: Communications Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Communications Associate will provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth running of the department. Working closely with the Communications team, this position will support department initiatives and projects, both print and digital, and assist the Communications Manager with marketing and media relations efforts

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite preferred.
  • Experience using social media scheduling, monitoring, and engagement tools.
  • Previous marketing and/or copywriting experience preferred.
  • Exceptional time management, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize, multitask, and coordinate complex schedules.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with all levels within the organization and the public.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional business hours on occasion.
  • Confidence and presentation skills as spokesperson for an organization.
  • Willingness to undergo criminal background check and employment reference check.
  • Committed to the Frye Art Museum’s history and future.
