Drs. Nancy Jecker and Caesar Atuire Publish New Book: What Is a Person?: Untapped Insights from Africa

The Department of Bioethics and Humanities is pleased to share that faculty member Dr. Nancy Jecker and affiliate faculty member Dr. Caesar Atuire have a new book with Oxford University Press: What Is a Person?: Untapped Insights from Africa.

This thought-provoking work explores African and Western approaches, offering insights that challenge, expand, and bridge differences.

Dr. Jecker, is a Professor in the Department of Bioethics and Humanities at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington School of Law, Department of Global Health, and Department of Philosophy. Dr. Atuire is a philosopher and ethicist in the Department of Philosophy and Classics at the University of Ghana, Legon.
