Welcome to CERSE, Marisa Johnson & Salley Fang!
CERSE is thrilled to welcome CERSE’s newest team members, Marisa Johnson and Salley Fang, who joined the team in December 2023 and have been contributing greatly since.
Marisa Johnson is a second-year undergraduate student in the UW Informatics department. She is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community and is an advocate for social change, including within STEM fields, and is active in AVELA (A Vision for Engineering Literacy & Access), a student of color UW student organization that serves underrepresented youth through STEM activities and workshops.
Salley Fang is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Washington in the Informatics department with a focus on Data Science. She also currently serves as the Director of Data Science at the Prosecution Project (tPP), a research platform that tracks political violence data in the US.
