UW Center for Human Neuroscience

Psych 555B (Seminar in Cognition & Perception) .

Help build a Human Neuroscience Virtual Laboratory. A place for anyone to learn skills, play with data, communicate with other scientists and carry out independent research.

During this class you will work in small groups to build a specialized module (e.g. anxiety, memory etc. etc.) for students interested in learning about a particular topic.

Instructor: Ione Fine

Tues 10-10.50 am KINCAID 501

UNDERGRADS: Email Ione Fine ionefine@uw.edu for an add code! You should take this class in conjuction with a 2-3 499 credits (6-12 hours week + 1 hour class time). Email Ione Fine to sign up for the 499 credits.

You will work in small groups (led by a graduate student) to create these ‘specialized modules’. These might include (feel free to be creative) a padlet of readings/mini-video-tutorials/links, an interview with an expert in the field and a small brain imaging analysis project based on precollected data (e.g. seeing whether resting state correlations are different in individuals who are bilingual).
