Two CFRM Students Win “Women in Quantitative Finance” Award for 2018-19

Computational Finance and Risk Management (CFRM) Master of Science students Caroline Dreher and Yao Li are the 2018-19 academic year recipients of the Women in Quantitative Finance award. The financial award is based on academic competitiveness during the admissions process. Each student is receiving $12,000 towards tuition during their first academic year.

Since 2014, CFRM has awarded nearly $250,000 in financial awards to top women and men candidates for the CFRM Master of Science program on the University of Washington Seattle campus. “We have extraordinary students who join our MS degree program each year, so we look forward to seeing top-notch candidates apply for the 2019 cohort,” says Tim Leung, CFRM program director. “We want to continue offering financial awards in recognition of their achievement and efforts.”

 

2019 Awards

Women in Quantitative Finance: Female applicants who are US citizens and applying for the autumn 2019 MS-CFRM classroom program will be automatically considered for this award with a completed application on file. The financial award is applicable towards tuition and distributed over three quarters during the first academic year.

General Awards: All applicants will be automatically considered for merit-based financial assistance with a completed application on file, submitted prior to the admissions deadline.
