CFRM Announces New Fellowship, in Partnership with Parametric Portfolio Associates

The Computational Finance and Risk Management (CFRM) program is proud to announce the Parametric Fellowship for Opportunity and Advancement in Computational Finance and Risk Management, in partnership with Parametric Portfolio Associates.

The gift shall be used to create a fellowship fund to provide financial assistance to students who are pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computational Finance and Risk Management, and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, which may include community service or participation in a related student organization.

“The Parametric Fellowship will certainly allow us to amplify our continued efforts to promote diversity and equity, and bring a positive impact to the CFRM community. We’re most grateful for Parametric’s support,” said Tim Leung, Boeing Endowed Professor of Applied Mathematics and Director of the Computational Finance and Risk Management program.

Recipients of the Parametric Fellowship will have their tuition covered for the Master of Science general program, while also receiving a 9-month stipend of $19,000 during their first academic year, before obtaining a summer internship and completing remaining coursework in their second academic year. Additional details will be made available in the coming weeks.

“Parametric has been a long-time supporter of the CFRM program – from giving seminars and hosting office tours, to providing internship and full-time job opportunities for students and recent graduates,” said Laurie Feldman, CFRM Program Manager. “We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Parametric with the creation of this fellowship, and we thank them for their continued efforts in supporting CFRM graduate students.”
