Introduction
This site is about how landscape architects work with water in an artful and environmentally responsible manner. It is about how landscape architects combine the creative qualities of water with engineered urban water management techniques. The welding of art and science for landscape architects is the ultimate challenge.

Stacey Levy in the Landscape Architecture April 1999 issue said

In science you always have to prove something…there are times when science is also very constraining. I can do things…that I would never be able to do if it was real science: I can stretch things to make them look like the way we think of science. Instead of making objects that looked like the natural world, I wanted them to explain what the natural world did.

The aim of this site is to expose landscape architects to a series of precedents that successfully combined the art and science of water.
