We have several mechanisms for communication in this course, including online forums, a e-mail list, live discussion rooms, and regular email. You may also elect to use other tools with fellow classmates.

Online Forums (GoPosts)

General Discussion Forum

Discussion of course content: readings, assignments, lectures and exercises take place in the course GoPost ( Link your GoPost tool here. (You can set up multiple discussions that cover all areas of conversation in the course) ).  The instructor has pre-threaded the tool to allow for distinct discussions by module or other course objects.  Students can start new conversations in any discussion thread that is unlocked.

To make a general announcement to the class, please use the general discussion forum. Please reserve the course e-mail list for time-sensitive announcements.

To post messages to the class, send a message to the e-mail list at:  (Add the email address for your course list here.)

Live Discussion (Adobe Connect Pro Meeting Room)

The course meeting room is located here. (Link to the Adobe Meeting room you will use for synchronous course communication.  Remove this section if you don't intend to use a meeting room.  Contact the Online Learning Team with questions.) The meeting room will be used for (indicate how you will use synchronous communication - for topical discussions? for logistics and questions about assignments? For guest speaker presentations?). While discussion in the meeting room may cover course topics from time to time, it is not required or graded. My weekly chat is at day and time. (Change the day and time so it is correct for you.)

For live, online help with library or research questions, you can chat with UW librarians at Q&A Live.
