Health Skills Checklists

checklistHealth skills checklists are a quick way to review the types of skills that may be important for a young person to learn. They may point out areas of need that you have not thought of before. They are also a useful way to keep a record of the young person’s progress in learning skills that will be important to their independence.

Here is the PDF document Health Skills Checklist developed by this project. It is divided into categories of keeping well, medical care, health condition or disability and preventing complications. There are columns to check whether the young person does the skill on their own, is working on the skill, or needs to work on the skill.
